David Isaac Paul Christian, 44, passed away unexpectedly on Oct. 24, 2018. He is survived by his beloved wife, Meghan (Cohee) Christian (Oklahoma City); parents, Linda (Kloker) Christian (Cedar Rapids, Iowa) and Phillip and Barbara Christian (Hiawatha, Iowa); brother, Peter (Kristi) Happel Christian; and nephews, Henry and Arlo (St. Cloud, Minn.); his kitty cats, Olive and Tonks (Oklahoma City); and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
David was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, May 10, 1974, and lived life with passion. He graduated from Washington High School in 1992. He was an accomplished drummer playing in a variety of bands throughout his life, including the University of Iowa drumline. He continued to root for the Hawkeyes every Saturday. An epic road trip and music guided him to San Francisco, where he was a broker at the Pacific Coast Exchange for 10 years and enjoyed everything about the Bay Area, especially cheering on the Giants. After moving to Oklahoma City in 2007, his love of good food and a welcoming personality led him into the restaurant industry. David was a bright star in the lives of so many and had such a wonderful sense of humor. He will be greatly missed. A Celebration of Life for David will be held at Yanda & Son Funeral Home in Yukon, Okla., on Monday, Oct. 29, 2018, at 2 p.m.
