Knutson building worth renovating

To the editor:
My wife and I really enjoyed the Chicago concert and here are some ideas that would have enhanced our experience.
The nearby Knutson Building should be renovated and used in partnership with the McGrath Amphitheatre. The top floor could be used for museum space with photos, literature, music, autographs and or instruments donated by past and present musical performers. This would be a must-see collection. The lower floor could consist of concessions, table areas and much needed restrooms. Let's say no to poorly lighted and unsanitary porta potties. How about some real soap and water?
The city has done an outstanding job bringing this venue to the citizens of Cedar Rapids and surrounding towns. The atmosphere, view and sounds by the Cedar River are second to none. But let's get out of the van down by the river and class it up a bit when we have to do our business and give us a brick and mortar building to do so.
