PAUL J. DICKENS
Iowa City
Paul J. Dickens, 54, a lifelong resident of Iowa City, died Monday, Oct. 29, 2018, at his residence in Iowa City.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 4, at St. Joseph's Cemetery Vogel Chapel in Iowa City. Memorials may be directed to the Iowa City Animal Care and Adoption Center.
Paul was born Jan. 8, 1964, beloved son to Marilyn and Richard Dickens, who preceded him in death. He was a graduate of City High School.
Paul's knack for tinkering and helping people led to him opening his own handyman business. He could often be found lending a hand on projects for family, friends or neighbors.
He is survived by his brothers, Richard Dickens (Catherine Gales) of Hoffman Estates, Ill., Tom Dickens (Sue Pontius) of Laguna Beach, Calif.; and Dan Dickens (Jayne Rose) of Bettendorf, Iowa; and his friend of many years, Melissa Moss. He was a loving nephew, uncle and cousin to many.
Paul died too young. His family misses him greatly. www.lensingfuneral.com.
