Wamac, River Valley Conference hoops all-star games

A couple of conferences are hosting all-star boys' basketball games this weekend, featuring senior players.
The Wamac Conference is sponsoring a boy-girl double-header that begins at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Benton Community High School.
Players anticipated to play in the boys' game include Gavin Timp of Anamosa, Carter Boekholder (Dyersville Beckman), Josh Gehling (Beckman), Lucas Danields (DeWitt Central), McClain Steffens (DeWitt Central), Brian Specht (Maquoketa), Emilio Villagrana (Solon), Ty Cassett (West Delaware), Spener Haldeman (Western Dubuque), Brandon Lewis (Benon Communty), Mason McCullay (Center Point-Urbana), Kevan McAreavy (Clear Creek-Amana), Craig Engle (Marion), Grant Koch (South Tama) and Zach Schlabaugh (Williamsburg).
A girl-boys double-header of all-star senior players in the River Valley Conference will be held Sunday at the Tipton Middle School. Girls' game tipoff is 3 p.m., with boys' game to follow.
Boys players will be Alex Hinke, Bellevue; Tyler Banowetz, Bellevue; Tanner Atkinson, Camanche; Ries Rausch,
Cascade; Mitch Recker, Cascade; Nolan Weber, Cascade; Jayden Johnson, North Cedar; Dylan Deerberg,
North Cedar; Jarrett Easton, Monticello; Matt Haferbier, NE Goose Lake; Nick Wall, NE Goose Lake.
Coaches - Tim Lambert (Monticello), and Jacob Brindle (Cascade).
Girls players will be Carolyn Trumm, Cascade; Bailey Holmes, Cascade; Jordan Bendixen, North Cedar; Ali Bottorff,
Bellevue; Maci Reeg, Bellevue; Mandi Miles, Monticello; Ashley Kruse, NE Goose Lake; Courtney Stoll,
NE Goose Lake; Maddie Parker, Camanche; Jordan Nissen, Camanche. Coaches – Donnie Kremer,
Monticello; and Ernie Bolibaugh, Cascade.
