Julie K. Himes, 52, of 3320 Queen Drive SW, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Sunday, July 3, 2011, in Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island, Ill. Services: 11 a.m. Friday, July 8, 2011, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by Pastor Dan Clark-Bridges. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 7, 2011, at the funeral home. Burial: Oakwood Cemetery at a later date.
Survivors include brothers, Mike (Mary) Himes of Cedar Rapids, Dan (Deb) Himes of Cedar Rapids, and Bob (Kelly) Himes of Toddville.
Julie was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Marion Himes.
Born December 29, 1958, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Julie was the daughter of Dewayne and Betty (Bents) Himes.
Julie was a member of Hope Lutheran Church. She was an avid bingo player.
Julie will be missed by her brothers, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
