Yoe, James Lester
James Lester Yoe, 87, of Edgewood, died Sunday morning, Nov. 6, 2011, at the VA Health Care System in Iowa City. Memorial Service: 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, at the Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Edgewood, with Pastor Mike Jackson officiating.The family will greet guests one hour before the service.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Phyllis Yoe of Edgewood; two sons, Tom (Deb) Yoe of Rockford, Ill., and Mick Yoe of Hiawatha; two daughters, Kandi (Mark) Custer of Sioux City, and Kathy (special friend Randy Harbaugh) Niles of Edgewood; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Alvina Yohe of Houston, Minn.
James was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Dorothy Nikodim and Opal Clark; and two brothers, Robert and Howard Yohe.
