Adams, Shala M.
Shala M. Adams, 68, of Mustang, Okla., formerly of Lamont, died June 29, 2013, in Oklahoma City. Services were July 3 at Mustang United Methodist Church. A second service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 4, at Grace United Methodist Church in Lamont, with burial in Strawberry Point.
Survivors include her husband, Blair R. Adams; children, Deann King (Allen) of Tuttle, Okla., Denice Kennedy (Joe) of Cushing, Okla., and Dwain Adams (Kimberly) of New Braunfels, Texas; brothers, Charles Klatt (Carolyn) and Fred Klatt (Arlene); sisters, Sherrie Cretsinger (Dean) of Panora, Iowa and Millie Berrett (Wayne) of Kelley, Iowa; four grandchildren; two adult stepgranddaughters; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Shala was born July 1, 1944, in Greeley, Iowa, to Charles and Bernice (Kraus) Klatt. She grew up in the Greeley/Delhi area and graduated from Lamont High School in 1962. Shala was a bank teller and supervisor in Iowa before moving to Mustang, Okla., in 1987 and working at the FAA Credit Union for nearly 20 years. She was a member of the Mustang United Methodist Church.
Memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society.
