Carlson, Linda Sue
Linda Sue Carlson, 49, died Saturday, May 19, 2012, from injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident. Celebration of Linda's Life will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 23, at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling St. SW. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Brosh Chapel. Inurnment will be at later date. The Celebration of Life will continue at the Fairfax American Legion on Wednesday.
Linda Sue was born Dec. 28, 1962, in Le Mars, the daughter of Eugene W. and Joanne H. (Schlee) Carlson. She graduated from Prairie High School in 1981 and then attended Hamilton Business College, with a degree in criminal Justice. She worked for Klinger Paint for many years. Linda enjoyed riding her motorcycle, being a first time grandma and spending time with her family and friends.
Linda is survived by her sons, Troy Krahmer (Amanda Pegump) of Walford and Trent Krahmer (Jenni Judeika) of Fairfax; a grandson, Tyson Krahmer; her father, Eugene Carlson; a brother, Scott (Lisa) Carlson; a sister, Gayla Yeakle, stepsister, Christy (Donny) Dykes, and stepbrother, Jay Trotter, all of Cedar Rapids; nieces and nephews, Kris (Eric), Nichole (Brian), Andrea (Josh), Joe (Mandy), Chad (Melissa), Kevin (Janelle) and Travis; great-nieces and great-nephews, Ryan, Stasia, Alaina, Abel, Brooklyn and Madison; her extended family in Minnesota; her local “Family of Friends”; and her loving dog, DeeKa.
Linda was preceded in death by her mother, Joanne Carlson; and her stepmother, Carol Carlson.
A memorial fund has been established in her name at Cedar Rapids Bank and Trust.
