Reed, Linda M. Joslin
Linda M. Joslin Reed, 67, of Marion, died Friday, Nov. 25, 2011, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, surrounded by the warmth of family and friends. Per Linda's request her body was donated to the University of Iowa for research. There will be a memorial service held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories in Cedar Rapids. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids, is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include two sons, Rick Ellison of Atkins, and his children, Tyler and Megan, and Vaughn (Michelle) Ellison of Delhi, and their children, Tanner and Jobe; a daughter, Melissa (Jason) Bennett of Des Moines; two brothers, Virgil (Pat) Grimm of Madrid and Kevin (Becky) Grimm of Delmar; and a sister, Nancy Nance of Spirit Lake.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Lola Ellison; two brothers, Steve and Allen; and two sisters, Kathy and Beverly.
Linda was born July 19, 1944, in Anamosa, the daughter of Perry and Clara (Easterly) Joslin. She was a cook for many years.
Linda enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, baking, trying new recipes and especially the time she spent with her beloved family and many friends.
A memorial fund has been established.
