Kobler, Linda K.
Linda K. Kobler, 69, of Iowa City, died at her home Wednesday, July 13, 2011. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, at First Presbyterian Church in Iowa City. Interment will take place at the church columbarium following the service.
Linda Kathryn Kobler was born June 11, 1942, in Galesburg, Ill., the daughter of Paul T. and Ruth (Nelson) Kobler. She grew up in Monmouth, Ill., graduating from high school there in 1960. Linda graduated from the College of Nursing at the University of Iowa. Throughout her nursing career at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, she served in many leadership positions always promoting excellence in patient care. Linda was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Iowa City, where she served three terms as a deacon.
She enjoyed traveling, working in the garden, being outdoors, reading, listening and playing music, being around people, but also being so comfortable in the quiet space of self.
Her family includes cousins and a host of dear friends from all over.
