Smith, William Everett 'Bill'
William Everett “Bill” Smith, 41, of Lisbon, died Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013, at his home in Lisbon. Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at Morgan Funeral Choices, Mount Vernon. Following the service, burial will be in Lisbon Cemetery, with military honors. The family will greet friends from 4 until 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Surviving Bill are his wife, Brandy; three sons, Zeb Light of Richmond, Texas, and Mitchell and Colten Smith, both of Lisbon; a daughter, Cheyenne Smith of Lisbon; parents, Steve and Roberta Daggett Seibert of Cedar Rapids; a sister, Tena Talmadge of Paisley, Fla.; and a four-legged friend, Duke.
He was born Jan. 15, 1972, in Terre Haute, Ind., the son of Charles and Roberta Smith. Bill graduated from Lincoln High School and served with the U.S. Marine Corps. He married Brandy Light on Aug. 3, 1993. Bill worked as a supervisor at FSP in Cedar Rapids.
Bill was an avid sports fan, especially of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Chicago Cubs. He bowled, played softball, and enjoyed fishing trips with the guys.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Bill's honor may be sent to The Bill Smith Memorial Fund, c/o Mount Vernon Bank and Trust Co.
