Reynolds, Wilma M. Baxa
Wilma M. Baxa Reynolds, 91, of Lisbon, died Saturday, July 21, 2012, at Hallmark Care and Rehabilitation Center, Mount Vernon. The family will greet friends from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Mount Vernon, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:30 a.m. Burial: St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Lisbon.
Surviving Wilma are her beloved sisters, Dorothy Randall, Lisbon, Retha Herbst, Mount Vernon, and Darlene Lnenicka, Cedar Rapids; and many nephews and nieces.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Mearl “Tuffy”; a brother, George Baxa; and sisters, Marguerite Mitchell, Marietta Stepanek and Maxine Seiler.
Wilma was born Aug. 16, 1920, on the family farm in Lisbon, the daughter of Joseph and Edna (Smith) Baxa. She married Mearl Reynolds and the couple established M&W Coffee Shop/Tuffy's Gulf.
Wilma was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Mount Vernon, and the Lisbon American Legion Auxilliary.
Wilma was a very generous woman, volunteering her time, talent, and treasure to many throughout her life.
A memorial fund in Wilma's honor has been established.
