Burmeister, Shirrie L.

Shirrie L. Burmeister, 63, of Clarence, died Monday, April 25, 2011, in her home. Services: 2 p.m. Saturday at Calvary 4 Square Church, Tipton, with Pastor Ron Lashmit officiating. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Chapman Funeral Home, Clarence.

Survivors include her husband, Bob; daughters, Jennifer (Chaney) Engel of Springville, Calif., Char (Gary) Heims of Tipton, Brenda (Don) Schumacher of Clarence, and Laura (Chad) Ihrig of Tipton; a son, Robert Burmeister of Bettendorf; a sister, LaVonne (Harold) Smith of Kansas City, Kan.; a brother-in-law, Terry DeMoss of Oxford Junction; and 13 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and a son.

Shirrie was born Feb. 8, 1948, in McGregor, Iowa, to Richard Warren and IlaDean Mable Chandler Jones. She married Bob Burmeister on June 15, 1996 at the Methodist Church in Clarence.

Shirrie was an awesome artist doing wonderful pictures. Her hands were very gifted, making things anybody needed. She loved cows and her cow collection. She was a great wife, mom and grandma and had a big heart. She was very caring for other people.
