Alvin F. Mouchka, 85, of Marengo, died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019, at Rose Haven Nursing Home, Marengo. Funeral services: 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, with Robert Dugger officiating. Burial will be in the Hala Cemetery, rural Swisher, with military honors. Friends may call after 12:30 p.m. Thursday until service time at the funeral home. Memorials may be contributed to Rose Haven Nursing Home in his name.
Alvin is survived by his sister, Rose Kasparek of Solon; and 11 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe H. and Sophie Ludvicek Mouchka; and eight siblings, Ben, Agnes, Irene, Adeline, Elmer, Franklin, Mable and Laverne.
The family would like to thank the Rose Haven Nursing Home staff and Care Initiatives Hospice for the excellent and compassionate care given to Alvin over the years.
