Thomas R. Franks, 64, of Marion, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday evening, Nov. 26, 2014, at Mercy Medical Center following a sudden illness. A celebration of Tom's life and luncheon will be held at noon Sunday, Dec. 14, at the Bertram Township Hall, 211 Angel St., Bertram.
Tom is survived by his wife, Gloria; brothers, Bobby Franks, Sioux Falls, S.D., and Raymond Franks, Cedar Rapids; sister, Mable Franks, Cedar Rapids; son, Raymond (Felicia) Hopper, Marion; daughter, Ruby (Mike) Koshatka, Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Andrew (Elizabeth) Koshatka, Ames, Casey Koshatka, Marion, and Alicia Koshatka, Cedar Rapids; and a great-granddaughter, Madelyn Koshatka, Ames.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Jessie (Webster) Franks.
