Taylor, Grace Lillian
Grace Lillian Taylor, 83, a resident of Sunny Crest Nursing Center, Dysart, died there Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011. Services are private. Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Taylor of Cedar Rapids; a son, Larry Taylor of Center Point; a brother, Eugene Chase of Center Point; two sisters, Jane Dumont of Phoenix, Ariz., and Mable Bantz of Independence; four grandchildren, Travic, Kathy, Robert and Gail; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents and a son, Gary Taylor, preceded her in death.
Grace was born Dec. 18, 1927, in Independence, Iowa, the daughter of Eugene and Mable (Young) Chase. She was an in home health care specialist.
She enjoyed fishing, making crafts and spending time with her grandchildren. She also was stubborn, very independent and very loving and kind to people.
A memorial fund has been established.
