Stordahl, Mons Curtis III
Mons Curtis Stordahl II, 58, of Sanford, Fla., formerly of Marion, died October 24, 2011. Family inurnment will take place in Finley, N.D.
Mons was born Nov. 9, 1954, in San Antonio, Texas, the son of Norman Curtis and Carolyn (Beaumier) Stordahl. He graduated from Marion High School in 1973. Mons was a self-employed computer programmer developer for 39 years. His business, Stordahl Inc, held several patents for software he developed. In the 1970s, Mons was one of the youngest Eagle Scouts and the recipient of the Order of the Arrow. He worked for NASA in the 70s, programming the launch for manned and unmanned rockets. He developed and programmed software for companies like: Martin-Marietta, FL; FMC Crane & Excavator, KY; Programmer, Documation Inc., Puerto Rico; Underdog Enterprises, FL; Woodcreek Restaurants, FL; Tech Support Connextions, FL; and Attitude Latitude Business Systems, Fl. Mons also had his own photo studio for models and nature shots as well.
Mons is survived by his brother, Burkley Jay Stordahl of Marion; and his father, who passed away Dec. 26, 2011.
He was preceded in death by his mother, who died Oct. 2, 2011.
