Boge, Elaine D.
Elaine D. Boge, 62, of Farley, died 10:20 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, 2011, at Finley Hospital in Dubuque. Friends and relatives of Elaine may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Reiff Funeral Home in Farley, where a prayer service will be held at 4 p.m. Services for Elaine will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Farley.
Elaine was born Nov. 15, 1948, in Farley, Iowa, daughter of Joseph J. and Dolores (Clemen) Boge. She was a graduate of St. Joseph's High School in Farley. Elaine was also a graduate of Clarke College in Dubuque, where she received her degree in biology. Elaine farmed with her brothers, and also farmed a small hobby farm of her own. Elaine loved working around her horses, and animals, she was a true nature enthusiast. She had a very strong work ethic. She also owned and operated Countryview Apartments in Farley.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Parish in Farley. Elaine was a volunteer Emergency Medical Technician on the former Reiff Ambulance Service in Farley.
She is survived by two brothers, John “Jack” Boge and Dale Boge, both of Farley; a nephew, Mike and Emily Boge, and their children, Lukas, Erik and Michael; a nephew, James and Jennifer Boge, and their children, Lillian, Joseph, Jacob and Lucille; and a niece, Christine and Karamoko Hubbard, and their daughter, Delores.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Joyce Ann Boge on June 2, 2010; and a sister-in-law, Nancy Boge on May 28, 2009.
A Elaine D. Boge memorial fund has been established.
