Evans, Scott A.
Scott A. Evans, 50, of Iowa City, died Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009, at his residence following a short illness. A gathering time for family and friends to share Scott's life will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his memory.

Scott Allen Evans was born Oct. 3, 1958, in Iowa City, the son of Stanley “Sonny” and Shirley (Blaha) Evans. For over 20 years Scott had worked for Goodwill Industries of Eastern Iowa. For the past 10 years he had been with the Reach for Your Potential organization here in Iowa City. Scott enjoyed life, drinking his Pepsi, writing endlessly, taking drives to the country, listening and showing others how to dance to Elvis, and being with his family and friends!
His family includes two brothers and their wives, Stanley “Jody” Evans (Cathy) of Tipton and Sheldon Evans (Dianna) of North Liberty; stepbrothers and stepsisters, Doug Evans (Mary) of Iowa City, Candy Hawkins (Gene) of Marengo, Chad Evans of Windham, Tracy Evans (Lori) of Windham, Blaine Evans of Windham and Bart Evans (Karen) of Windham; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Dean Evans; infant brother, Sharm Evans; stepsister, Becky Evans; and stepbrothers, Marc and Neal Evans.
