Kiarra Lilly Marie Starks-Taylor was born March 9, 2012, in Waterloo, Iowa. She lived in Lamont,
being raised by her parents, Jessica Starks and Marcus Taylor. She was a lively sweetheart with an engaging smile, whose eyes lit up when she was with her special friend, Mickey Mouse. At the age of 2, Kiarra entered into her eternal rest on Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at the Regional Medical Center in Manchester, following a drowning accident.
Survivors include her parents, Marcus and Jessica of Lamont; sister, Layana Taylor of Lamont; maternal grandparents, Trenia "Dunkel" (Donald) Hesseling of Lamont; paternal grandparents, Jerenda (Willis) O'Neal of Waterloo; maternal great-grand-father, Joe Gaffney of Lamont; and paternal great-grandmother, P. Thelma Wright of Waterloo.
Celebration of Life services will be 2 p.m. Monday, June 30, at Grace United Methodist Church in Lamont. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday at the church. Kiarra will be buried next to her uncle, Darren Gerdemann, in Campton Cemetery, east of Lamont. Casketbearers will be Robert Wright II, Phillip Houston, Jay Carter, Chris Schanbeck and Joe Opperman. Fawcett Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Lamont is assisting the family with arrangements.
