New hires

McCord Research, the parent company of Pinnaclife, announced Ted Pacha has been named president of its health care distribution division.

Josh Streets (see photo) joined TrueNorth as director of transactional operations. Streets was most recently with U.S. Cellular Corporation in Bolingbrook, Ill.

Kelly McDonald (see photo) joined Elmcrest Country Club in Cedar Rapids as director of sales. McDonald was previously sales manager with Sheraton Iowa City/hotelVetro.

Three new employees have joined the staff at the Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance: Sarika Bhakta (see photo) as district improvement specialist, Jody Bowers (see photo) as executive assistant, and Laura Paulsen (see photo) as research specialist with an emphasis in public policy.

Brian Johnson (see photo) joined Elmcrest Country Club in Cedar Rapids as PGA teaching professional. Johnson was previously a professional golfer.

Board members

Bradley L. Hauge (see photo) of Cedar Rapids was named to the board of directors of the Iowa Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Jerry Meis, chairman of Lenoch & Cilek Ace Hardware in Iowa City, was elected executive chairman of the North American Retail Hardware Association. Meis is a member of the Oaknoll Foundation and a member of the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library Association.

Meetings
