Helen M. Santon, 92, of Grand Rapids, Mich., formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014, at the home of her daughter after a brief illness. A family graveside service is at 1 p.m. on Monday at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until service time on Monday.
Survivors include three daughters, Margot (Derald) Hafner of Raleigh, N.C., Kristie (Jon) Smith of Post Falls, Idaho, and Diana (Randall) Meyer of Grand Rapids, Mich.; one son, Eric (Sue) of Kansas City, Mo.; and a sister, Martha Gard of Cedar Rapids. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a niece, Polly (Bob) Whitmore; and a nephew, Jeffrey Gard. She was preceded in death by her husband.
Helen was born on Feb. 13, 1922, in Cedar Rapids. She married Harold L. Santon on Sept. 20, 1943, in Cedar Rapids. Harold passed away in 2006.
