Rita Mae (Fessler) Bremer, 85, of Solon, passed away Monday, Feb. 12, 2018, at Mercy Hospice, Iowa City, surrounded by her loving family. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, at the Chapel of Memories, Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16, at the Stateroom, Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will take at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Rita was born April 12, 1932, in Earlville, Iowa, to John J. and Rose (Roling) Fessler. On Sept. 14 1949, she was united in marriage to Robert J. Bremer to which four children were born.
Survivors include, Richard (Marilyn) Bremer of Fort Wayne, Ind., Ronald (Dianna) Bremer, of Cedar Rapids, Rose (Loren) Moes of Anamosa and Robert (Maryann) Bremer of Iowa City; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a sister, Joan Lasche.
Rita was preceded in death by husband, Robert; sister, Catherine Reittinger; and brother, Herbert (Herb) Fessler.
Memorial donations will go to Mercy Hospice, Iowa City.
