Peschong, Gwendolyn M.

Gwendolyn M. Peschong, 94, of Manchester, died Monday, July 12, 2010, at the Regional Medical Center, Manchester. Mass of Christian burial: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Masonville, with the Rev. John Flaherty Celebrant. Interment: St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Masonville. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home, Manchester, where there will be a 6 p.m. rosary. Friends may also call from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Survivors include her five children, Mary (Raymond) Distler of Waterloo, Jan (Michael) Mathieu of Overland Park, Kan., Jim (Eileen) Peschong of Lincoln, Neb., Larry (Cindy) Peschong of Kearney, Mo., and Ken Peschong of Tulsa, Okla.; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Imogene (Don) Nelson of Emporia, Kan.

Gwen was preceded in death by her husband, William in 1992; her parents; two grandchildren in infancy, Sarah and Amy Distler; and two sisters, Mildred Speck and Leona Wheeler.
