Donald G. Nefzger, 89, of Manchester, died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2014, at the Regional Medical Center in Manchester. Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manchester, with the Rev. Joseph Schneider officiating. Visitation: 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12, at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home, where there will be a 3 p.m. Scripture service. Friends may also call one hour before the service Saturday at the church. Interment, with military rites: St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Manchester.
Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary (Wegmann).
Survivors include his five children, Douglas (Dottie) Nefzger of Cedar Falls, Catherine (Kent) McGee of Plano, Texas, David (Mary) Nefzger of Cedar Rapids, Paul (Tracy) Nefzger of Wellington, Kan., and Ann (Brent) Ripley of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three siblings, Irene Pasker of Manchester, Nadine Ruley of Oxford Junction and Art (Pat) Nefzger of Earlville; and a sister-in-law, Shirley Nefzger of Earlville.
