Evelyn C. Ibsen, 94, of Clarence, died Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016, in Clarence Nursing Home. Funeral services: 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, at St. John's United Church of Christ, Clarence, by Pastor Tommi Boeder. Burial: St. John's Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 p.m. to service time at the church.
Born May 27, 1922, in Cedar County, the daughter of Henry and Marie (Edler) Meyer, she married George Ibsen on May 21, 1941
in Clarence. He passed away April 12, 2005.
Evelyn was very active in church, being a former Sunday school teacher and Lend-A-Hand member. She dedicated her life to her family. George and Evelyn loved to dance, and it was a big part of their lives.
Survivors include a son, Allen (Kristin) of Estero, Fla.; daughter, Diane (Denny) Mostaert; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George; brothers, Albert, Lloyd and Harry; and sister, Irene Decker.
