Doris Ann Bagby, 70, of Walker, lost her fight with cancer on Saturday, June 4, 2016. Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 10, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Walker. Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 9, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point, with a Scripture service at 4 p.m. Additional visitation will be one hour before the service Friday at the church. Burial: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Walker.
Doris is survived by her husband, Pat; their dog, Mollie; sister, Nadine Heiserman of Cedar Rapids; two brothers, Marion Vaupel and wife Judy of Urbana and Conrad Vaupel of Quasqueton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Doris was born Feb. 11, 1946. She married Pat Bagby and lived in Walker on the farm where she was born and raised. Doris had numerous hobbies: she raised and showed American quarter horses, she loved to make quilts and collect "pretties" as she called them. Doris was a people person. She loved spending time with her family and friends and was not afraid of anything. Doris loved to go to the Amish community where she made many friends.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her.
