Judith K. Kahler, 71, of Iowa City, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2015, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City. A funeral service will be at noon Thursday, March 12, at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, Iowa City, with Father Steve Witt officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, before the service, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the University of Iowa Foundation-Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center or St. Mary's High School in Remsen, Iowa.
Judith was born on Sept. 30, 1943, in Iowa City, the daughter of Col. Harry and Mary (Seydel) Dick. She graduated from Regina High School in 1961. She worked as a secretary for a law office for 12 years and Hy-Vee Gas for years. Judith enjoyed spending time with her dogs, watching NASCAR and was an avid Hawkeye fan.
Judith is survived by her two sons, Kevin Kahler and Brian (Jen) Kahler, both of Iowa City; and her beloved dog, Bandit.
She was preceded in death by her parents and beloved dog, Ozzie.
