On Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2019, Randy Arlen Reindl passed at age 72. He was born to Charles and Helen on April 16, 1946, in Mason City.
Randy is survived by a brother, Monty (Donna) of Tinley Park, Ill.; and a sister, Melody Dutcher (Tim) of Mason City.
He attended the University of Iowa, graduating with a B.A. in aging studies. Randy settled in Iowa City, working at Weeg Computing Center. He "adopted" several family members who love and miss him dearly. Randy enjoyed sharing a meal with friends and going for coffee with his buddies at McDonald's. He never met a stranger and found time to chat with anyone who needed a kind word. He was known for his generosity, his love of cars and interior design, and his unique sense of humor.
A celebration of life will be held in April 2019.
