Doris Ann Gourley Andersen died Jan. 28, 2017, at the age of 96.
She was born in St. Luke's Hospital on March 29, 1920, and was the daughter of Clarence and Minnie Gourley. She lived in Cedar Rapids her whole life. She had four siblings: Dick, Bob, Paul and Louise, who all preceded her in death. She was married for more than 50 years to Oga E. Andersen, who passed away in 1994. Doris and Oga had three children: sons David and Gary are both deceased.
Doris is survived by her daughter, Judy Kamm of Raleigh, N.C.; three grandsons, Rhett Kamm of Parker, Colo., Ryan Kamm of New York, N.Y., and Travis Kamm of Knightdale, N.C.; and four great-grandchildren, Nolan, Dylan, Gretchen and Ramona.
Doris had many acquaintances and friendships over the years of her life. She was a good wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend and neighbor.
She will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. A gathering in Doris's honor will be held one hour before the service at the chapel. Her cremated remains will be placed with her family at Cedar Memorial Park Mausoleum.
