Hawkeyes 6th in 1st BCS rankings (here's the list)

The Iowa football team is No. 6 in the first Bowl Championship Series rankings of the 2009 season. Iowa (7-0) is ranked seventh in the Associated Press top 25 and eighth in the USA Today coaches' poll.

Florida is first in the BCS, followed by Alabama, Texas, Boise State and Cincinnati. Behind the Hawkeyes at No. 7 is Southern California.

Then it's Texas Christian, LSU and Miami (Fla.) rounding out the top 10.

The next 10 includes Big Ten teams Penn State (13), Ohio State (19) and Wisconsin (21).
