CONTEST: How many spots will Iowa move up in the AP Top 25 poll Sunday after a bye week?
Mike Hlas Oct. 6, 2010 11:10 am
You rarely move down in the rankings after a bye week, but you can certainly go up.
Arizona and Arkansas didn't play last week. Arizona jumped from 14th to 9th in the Associated Press Top 25, and Arkansas moved from 15th to 11th. That's because teams like Stanford, Florida and Wisconsin did play, lost, and tumbled.
Iowa is 15th this week and has a bye. So where will the Hawkeyes be ranked come Sunday morning? Maybe No. 12 Utah will fall at Iowa State, for instance.
Make your pick here and win a valuable prize. I'm thinking a never-worn New Orleans Saints windbreaker. The tiebreaker is the number of points Iowa will have in next Sundahy's AP poll. Its total this week was 670. If it moved up one spot on every one of the voters' ballots, that's 730.
