Freedom comes with responsibility

On Friday, we celebrate the anniversaries of two freedom-filled events separated by exactly 200 years.
First, we celebrate the adoption of the Declaration of Independence in 1776 when Americans 'proclaimed liberty throughout the land and to all of the inhabitants thereof.” Second, we celebrate the Raid on Entebbe in 1976 when Israeli commandos liberated 95 Jewish and Israeli hostages being held by Arab terrorists who were threatening to murder their captives unless there demands were met.
As the murder of three Israeli teenagers this past week, which came after Hamas called for kidnappings, showed, the terrorists were not kidding then and they are still quite active today. One thing that liberty-loving people know is that the price of liberty is eternal vigilance.
