DOUGLAS "DUSTY" ISAACSON Cedar Rapids Douglas "Dusty" Isaacson, 69, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at home after an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at noon Friday at McLaren's Chapel in West Des Moines. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until service time. Burial will be at Resthaven Cemetery at a later date. Dusty was born April 23, 1945, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, and graduated from Washington High School in Cedar Rapids. He lived most of his adult life in Des Moines. Dusty was the owner of J.D. Welding and Machine of Pleasant Hill and was a certified welder and master machinist who was well known and respected in his vocation. He was an avid fisherman and hunter who loved Lake of the Woods in Canada. NASCAR was also a passion of his. Dusty is survived by his wife of 49 years, Judi; two sons, Darrin (Tracey) and Brian (Gina); brother, Fred (Sally); seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
