Supervisors seem to be seeking revenge

To the editor:
Something smells fishy here in Cedar Rapids and it isn't the Cedar River. Seems to me the fishy odor is coming from the Linn County Supervisors office.
So, if one disagrees with the Board of Supervisors they get their revenge one way or another. Poor Joel Miller, he doesn't seem to stand a chance. But I applaud him for trying. Seems to me we are overpaying the board members - rather than doing their jobs, they go out of their way to find ways to silence and demoralize one certain member of the county operations who is only doing his job.
Maybe it's just me but tooting one's horn and bragging about saving $40,000 over a year's time in a budget as large as Linn County's doesn't seem like much. Also, moving all these employees around to various departments isn't cheap. That costs money as well. Has that been factored in to all these so-called savings?
Mr. Miller, I agree with you the actions the board members have been taking against you seem like retaliation and being vindictive.
