Mike Hlas Oct. 17, 2011 9:00 am
The first Las Vegas betting lines of the college football week are put out on Sunday afternoons at Wynn Las Vegas.
Iowa has not been favored by this much in a Big Ten game since 2003 when it was a 26-point pick against Illinois and won 41-10.
The Hawkeyes were 17-point favorites against Indiana in 2009 and 2010. They won 42-24 in '09, 18-13 last year. They were 15-point picks over Minnesota last year and lost.
Here were the other opening numbers for the Big Ten's games this Saturday:
Wisconsin 7 at Michigan State (went up to 8 before going down to 7.5 Sunday night)
Illinois 6 at Purdue
Nebraska 25 at Minnesota (opened at 26.5 and went down to 25.5 and 24.5 before going up to 25)
Penn State 3 at Northwestern (went up to 4)
