Hackert, Kathleen 'Kathy' M.
Kathleen “Kathy” M. Hackert, 69, of Marion, died peacefully Wednesday, June 30, 2010, at her home surrounded by her family. Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion by Father Rod Allers. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion, where a parish vigil service will begin at 6 p.m. Burial: Oak Shade Cemetery, Marion.
Survivors include her husband, Stan of Marion; her children, Kevin (Darla) Hackert of Cedar Rapids, Terri (Mike) Young of Cedar Rapids, Kris (Mike) Liercke of Center Point and Mark (Stacey) Hackert of Solon; five grandchildren, Tory, Quinn and Lincoln Hackert and Ryan and Rachel Liercke; a sister, Doris (Tom) West of Wickenburg, Ariz.; and a brother, Nick (Sadie) Gevock of Washington, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Vi Lauderdale.
Kathy was born Feb. 11, 1941, in South English, the daughter of Alex and Dorothy (Bruty) Gevock. She graduated from Washington High School in 1959. On May 12, 1962, Kathy was united in marriage to Stanley F. Hackert at St. James Church in Washington. Kathy worked at the Center Point grocery store, then at Rockwell Collins for 20 years as a data analyst, retiring in 1999.
