Anderson, David L.
David L. Anderson, 60, of Walford, died Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009 at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics, Iowa City.
Service: 2 p.m. Saturday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, 2204 26th St. NW, Cedar Rapids. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Private burial will be in New Sharon, Iowa.
Survivors include his wife Donna, six children, Kristy and Al Verbish of Mooreville, Indiana, Michael (Heather), Paul (Amy), and Melissa all of Cedar Rapids, and Beth and Tony of Walford, Brother Rod (Susan) New Sharon, Iowa, two nephews Matthew and Brian, six grandchildren: Katie, Donald, Erin, Victoria, Riley, and Ana. He was preceded in death by his parents Lee and Barbara Anderson of New Sharon, Iowa.
David was born June 15, 1949 in New Sharon, Iowa. He married Donna Fannon on Nov. 13, 1971 in Marengo, Iowa. He retired from American Airlines in 2004 after 36 years of service. His next venture was to open Super Dave's Bar and Grill in Walford in 2006.
