Brian E. Reed, 46, of Coal Valley, Ill., passed away Sunday, Aug. 30, 2015, at home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, at Rafferty Funeral Home, 2111 First St. A, Moline, Ill. Immediately following the services, the family invites all to continue celebrating Brian's life at Len Brown's North Shore Inn, Moline. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Private burial will be at Anderson Cemetery, Swisher.
Memorials can be made to a scholarship fund for his children or the Moline Public School Foundation.
Brian was born May 13, 1969, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Merle and Sharon Reed. He married Julie Eden on Sept. 22, 1990, in Cedar Rapids. Brian worked at US Bank in Moline as a branch manager. Brian was president of the Moline Public School Foundation. He loved owning and driving Volkswagens and enjoyed watching car racing.
Survivors include his wife, Julie; children, Erin Reed and Colin Reed, both at home; sister, Heather (Tim) Ceaser of Tama; father and mother-in law, Ron and Joann Eden of Swisher; and sister-in-law, Sara Eden of Cedar Rapids.
