Jack T. Allison, 81, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, June 23, 2016, at Mercy Medical Center. Graveside services with military rites at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call after 10 a.m. Tuesday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Survivors include three sons, Tom (Rose) of Ely, Jack Jr. of Iowa City and Lewis (Lillian) of Cedar Rapids; a daughter, Ellen Allison of Council Bluffs; and a brother, Edwin of Cedar Rapids. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Jack was born March 4, 1935, in Des Moines, the son of Edward and Myrtle Fisher Allison. Jack was a self-employed TV repairman for many years in the Cedar Rapids area. He enjoyed tinkering with electronics and watching science fiction movies. He proudly served in the U.S. Army.
