Letter: FedEx driver displayed patriotism

Kudos to FedEx driver Matt Uhrin for breaking up an illegal flag-burning protest in Iowa City on Jan. 26.
Uhrin, a military veteran, took fire extinguisher in hand into the crowd of protesters who had set the nation's flag afire. This violates an Iowa City burning ban ordinance.
How easy it would have been for Uhrin to ignore the protesters and merely continue with his deliveries. After paying their fine for violating the city's open burning code, perhaps the childish protesters will learn a lesson.
FedEx should give Uhrin, a true patriot, a raise and a medal.
