Headhunters season under way

The Cedar Rapids Headhunters Rugby Football Club is at roughly the midway point of its spring competition. The Headhunters were scheduled to play at the Iowa City Ducks RFC Saturday and are set to continue play Saturday, April 16 against the Bremer County Bucks RFC at Waverly.
The Headhunters are coming off one of the Cedar Rapids Rugby Football Club's most successful years.
In 2010, the Headhunters won the club's first Midwest Championship, qualifying for the Division III National Championship Rugby Tournament. They advanced to the Final Four in Glendale, Colo., winning the consolation championship and their first Eastern Conference title.
The Headhunters return home May 14, hosting Palmer College at 11 a.m. at Seminole Valley Park.
