Too many questions on Benghazi unanswered
Gary Fischer
May. 28, 2014 5:27 pm
Has justice been served, as our president promised, for the four Americans who were murdered in Benghazi over a year ago? Do people even really know how our ambassador was mistreated by the terrorists that fateful night? Do they know he was dragged naked through the streets of Benghazi and tortured with a cattle prod after being set on fire and repeatedly raped?
Rep. Trey Gowdy asked a number of other significant questions about this tragedy, and they also have not been answered.
l Why has no one been arrested or prosecuted for the murders?
l Why was Chris Stevens in Benghazi the night that he was killed?
l Why were we the last flag flying in Benghazi?
l Why were requests for additional security denied?
l Why were no assets deployed during the siege of eight hours?
l Did the president call any of our allies to ask for help?
l Why was Susan Rice picked to talk about the attack (on five Sunday talk shows)?
l What is the origin of the 'mythology” that the attack resulted from a spontaneous demonstration about a video?
How can we learn from mistakes that we are not willing to admit?
And, shouldn't the families of the murdered victims be able to know the truth, instead of being told, 'What difference does it make?”
