Iowa City High won't get anything close to a night off from its opponents during the last stretch of the regular season.
The Little Hawks, who remained No. 3 in Class 5A in the latest IGHSAU girls' basketball rankings, have three top eight match-ups in a row, then a rivalry game against another ranked team.
Linn-Mar, which moved up two spots to No. 8, visits City High on Friday. Then the Little Hawks face top-ranked Ankeny Centennial and No. 4 Cedar Falls on the road Saturday and Tuesday, respectively, before closing the regular season against 12th-ranked Iowa City West next Friday.
Cedar Rapids has its own top-15 clash this Friday, as No. 7 Kennedy hosts No. 15 Washington.
In Class 4A, Western Dubuque and Marion remained second and seventh, behind No. 1 Harlan.
The Indians handed Center Point-Urbana its first loss last week, but the Stormin' Pointers held on to the No. 2 ranking in Class 3A, trailing Pocahontas Area.
Mount Vernon and Mid-Prairie dropped out.
Like the rest of the Class 2A teams, Iowa City Regina and West Branch held steady at No. 2 and No. 7 after the Regals' two-point triumph over the Bears on Tuesday. Western Christian is No. 1.
In 1A, Montezuma moved into the top 10 at No. 9. Turkey Valley and Springville remain first and third.
