Are you looking for an enjoyable, fun way to spend this weekend? How about great food (pork sandwiches, grilled chicken, watermelon, pies, ice cream, etc.), a complete carnival from Jones and Company with rides for people of all ages, bingo, silent auction, marketplace, beverage tent with exciting bands (Funk Daddies, Crank Shaft, Country Biscuits, the Sensations) and kids' games. You can buy raffle tickets for a chance at $30,000 in cash prizes.
You can enjoy all this at the St. Pius SummerFest, at the corner of Council Street and Collins Road. The two main places to park are on our own grounds (by the Council Street entrance) or at Faith Baptist Church about one block away from us. There is also on- street neighborhood parking.
We are so very excited to offer this entertainment to the greater Cedar Rapids area. We are grateful for the spirit of cooperation that has already been shown by so many area churches and businesses. Thank you to everyone who has assisted with SummerFest in any way.
And now it's time for the party. SummerFest begins at 5 p.m. Friday and ends at 5 p.m. Sunday, with our raffle drawing being held at 4 p.m. Sunday. We really hope you and your friends and family will join us for this fun and special weekend!
