Motorcyclists should be aware of traffic

I understand the need to watch out for motorcycles; however, the same thing should apply to them.
Last year I was going to Target. I stopped at a stop light on Wilson Avenue waiting to turn on Edgewood Road. I got the green left turn arrow and proceeded to turn. I was in the middle of the intersection, when a motorcycle came at me full speed. It scared me! The motorcyclist narrowly missed me by inches. I can still hear the tires squealing.
Please make motorcycles aware of cars, too. Hopefully, this won't happen to another person.
