The following is a statement released today by Iowa's Kirk Ferentz. There will be no further comments on the matter.
“Wide Receiver Marcus Grant will finish the fall semester and has decided to transfer to a school closer to home. Offensive Lineman Dan Heiar will finish the fall semester and has decided to leave school to pursue other interests. Our coaching staff and players wish Marcus and Dan the very best.”
Freshman wide receiver Marcus Grant will transfer. Also, OL Dan Heiar also will leave the team, according to a UI release. (Gazette file)
