Banning abortion will not end abortion

To the editor:
I am not a big fan of abortion and I do not believe it should be used for birth control. However, those folks who think shutting down Planned Parenthood will end abortions have their heads in the sand.
Abortions were performed long before they were legal and will continue to be performed even if they are banned.
It is my opinion that keeping them legal will not allow more fetuses to survive, but it will save many young pregnant women from bleeding to death.
