Pickart - Slaymaker

CEDAR RAPIDS - Jennifer Leann Pickart and Aaron Dennis Slaymaker, both of Cedar Rapids, announce their engagement.

Jennifer is the daughter of Frank and Marlys Brooks of Cedar Rapids, and Larry and Lori Pickart of Robins, IA. Her grandparents are Darlene Breja of Belle Plaine, IA, Frank Brooks of Oxford, IA, John and Charlene Pickart of Keystone, IA, and Jean Goken, also of Keystone.

Aaron is the son of Steve and Kim Slaymaker of Belle Plaine, and Scott and Mary Weekly of Chelsea, IA. His grandparents are Bea trice Slaymaker of Urbandale, IA, and Esther Auld of Marengo, IA. Jennifer received her B.A. from the University of Iowa, and her M.B.A. from Drake University. She is employed as an account manager for Fisher Group. Aaron received his A.S. degree from Kirkwood Community College. He is employed by Ben Van Waus Construction as a project fore man. The couple will exchange wedding vows on Saturday, September 26, 2009, at Antioch Christian Church in Marion, IA, with John Seitz presiding. A reception will be held at the Clarion Hotel and Con vention Center.
