Grinnell
Don Howig, 86, of Grinnell, died Sept. 5, 2014, at the Mayflower Health Care Center.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, 2014, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Grinnell. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Grinnell House, 1011 Park St., Grinnell, following the memorial service.
Survivors include his wife, Ethel Howig of Grinnell; two daughters, Debby (Paul) Pohlson of Grinnell and Jody (Randy) Kelley of Marion, Iowa; one brother, Robert (Linda) Howig of Sunnyvale, Texas; five grandchildren; and one sister, Marlyss Kuenzel of St. Petersburg, Fla.
Should friends desire, memorials may be directed to St. Paul's Episcopal Church of Grinnell, Grinnell Regional Hospice or to Imagine Grinnell (bike trail fund) and sent in care of the Smith Funeral Home, P.O. Box 368, Grinnell, IA 50112.
